What's your "hidden gem" spot on or nearby campus?

The backside of Swan Lake where all the trees are. There are so many little spots to sit or stand by the water and look at the turtles and fish. It's a really great place to clear your head or just relax. 

Which campus event do you never miss (and why)?

I never miss our open house. It's a great time to meet a lot of new faces.

What does it mean to be a Laker?

For me being a Laker means giving to others what was given to me. Clayton State is the place that gave me more chances and opportunities than any other place and I want others to receive that and more. 

If you could have one superpower while helping students, what would it be?

If I could have a superpower to help students, it would be to control technology. That way I could make the computers, cell phones, etc. do what we need them to do and make the process easier for students.

If you could give your freshman self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Become involved. It doesn't matter what or with who, but find your people. Whether it's in a club or a study group become a part of something and don't be afraid of something new or unusual it might turn out to be your favorite thing you do. 

What song always get you pumped for the day?

A song that always gets me pumped is Trouble Don't Last Always by Rev. Timothy Wright

Fun Fact:

A fun fact about me is I never paid full price for a textbook while pursuing my bachelor's.

I'm here to help you and that can go beyond getting you enrolled in classes. I have students who I still talk to on the regular who met me for the first time in the admissions office. If you're ever feeling lost or don't know where to start you can always come find me.
